It's not your imagination - once deployed it threw up a bug which had not showed back in testing so Glyn had to roll it back.
He's currently testing it in a staging environment and hopes to have it online soon, shortly followed by the news odds ladder incrmeents and then the long-awaited API itself. |

The spinner control is now online in a release also containing a fix whereby users can now navigate to and from closed markets as freely as they can navigate to and from Open and Suspended markets.
My policy at b&l is to enable customers to return to markets and check their p/l if they wish to right up until the instant the market is settled their overall overall p/l permanently archived in ''My Account.'' Glyn has also unified the ordering logic in the Next Event Dropdown with the ordering logic in category landing pages dropdowns - this should be most noticeable when the new football season commences in August, with games from the same division/competition now grouped together and published in alphabetical order when they share the same kick-off time. Glyn now hopes to get the next release, containing the new odds ladder, online in the next couple of days, followed by the API. Once the API is online, I see: 1. A switch to a reduction factor in horse racing; 2. The building of an In-Running variable time delay (one second for racing, five seconds for football, that sort of thing); 3. The implementation of a new type of escrow to facilitate place betting; and 4. The integration of the latest automation third-party card deposit solutions like Neteller and Moneybookers can offer us; as a sensible prioritisation of tasks as we seek to maximise the opportunities for growth. Basically, the aim is to reach a point where a new user surfing the site: 1. Sees visible liquidity (maybe provided by the API users) prompting him to wish to open an account; 2. Opens an account; 3. Can then make an instant deposit if he so wishes by Neteller, Moneybookers, or RBOS's 'Betpay'' if and when it comes online (now due to be late September); 4. Have a bet there and then; 5. Withdraw his winnings to his card (if and, and if he so wishes)...all five points being finally achievable in the course of one visit to b&l's website. Then I'll start to feel like, marketingwise, we might be reaching a point where we have a product worth going to War with. Your comments, as ever, warmly appreciated. |
